Sales Associate – Art & High-End Home Design

New York, New YorkFull-time
$22 - $25 hourly
About the Job
Clic is looking for a Sales Associate for our Tribeca store, with a sensitivity for photography, art, and decoration.

About the role:
Our Tribeca store brings together two complementary worlds: a fashion space and a home space, where artworks serve as an integral part of our identity.
You'll be versatile across the entire Home sales floor, but with a real focus on art.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and advise clients across the full Home offering (art, furniture, decor objects, etc.).
  • Proactively approach every client to start a conversation around the art.
  • Providing exceptional standards of customer experience by following the CLIC Selling Ceremony and carrying out CRM activities according to the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating and reflecting the lifestyle image of CLIC through customer service, attitude, personal grooming and behavior.
  • Participating in and representing CLIC during events and activities.
  • Attending and participating in store meetings and training events as required, ensuring good communication is maintained.
  • Help style and maintain the sales floor.
  • Maintain the art inventory and ensure proper storage and organization in stock.
  • Contribute to the Home team's commercial goals.

What we're looking for:
  • A strong curiosity for photography, contemporary art, or decoration (training, personal practice — not necessarily a degree).
  • Sales experience, ideally in premium retail, home decor, or art
  • Strong people skills and the ability to build a conversation around a piece of art.
  • Versatility and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Open availability (Monday to Sunday).
  • Proactive, with a habit of anticipating client needs.
  • Shows innovation and initiative in setting customer care standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Skills:
  • Product knowledge: comfortable learning artists, series, and print details well enough to speak about them confidently.
  • Cross-selling: connects art pieces naturally with the broader Home offering.
  • Client outreach: initiates conversations.
  • Visual merchandising: has an eye for placement and presentation.
  • Inventory management: rigorous with stock tracking, storage, and organization.
  • Team collaboration: works well within a broader Home sales team.
